Meeting and connecting with others
Yummy People is a platform only. Madison Comics LLC does not run background checks, screen members or verify anyone’s identity, and does not check that profiles, photos or messages are accurate or truthful. We are not responsible for the conduct of any member, or for anything that happens, online or offline, if you choose to connect, communicate or meet with someone you found through the site. You do so entirely at your own risk.
Please take sensible precautions: meet in a busy public place, tell a friend where you are going and who you are meeting, arrange your own transport, and never send money or gift cards to anyone you meet here. See the safety tips below and the limitation of liability in our Terms.
Terms of Service
Yummy People is operated by Madison Comics LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using Yummy People, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy below. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Eligibility (18+)
You must be at least 18 years old to use Yummy People. By signing up you confirm that you are 18 or older, that you are legally able to enter into these Terms, and that you have not been banned from the service. We remove accounts we find belong to anyone under 18.
2. Your account and conduct
- Give accurate information, keep your password private, and use only one account. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Be respectful. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate or deceive anyone, and do not post hateful, sexually explicit or illegal content.
- Do not use the service for spam, advertising, scams, requests for money, or to collect other members’ information.
- Do not attempt to bypass our filters, limits or enforcement actions, including by creating new accounts after a suspension or ban.
3. Content and photos
- You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host and display it to other members so the service can work.
- Only post content and photos you have the right to share. Use photos of yourself. You must be 18 or older, and no one under 18 may appear in a photo.
- No nudity, sexually explicit content, violence or hateful imagery in photos. We may remove a photo that breaks this rule and suspend or ban the account.
- Photos are stored at a public web address, so anyone who has the link can view them.
- We may remove content that breaks these Terms or that we reasonably consider unsafe.
4. Moderation, suspensions, bans and appeals
- Reports. Anyone can report a profile or chat. A small team reviews reports, but we cannot promise to review everything or to respond within a set time.
- Automatic filters. To limit spam and scams, we automatically block links in profiles, payment-app handles, requests for money and a list of banned words, and we limit how quickly messages can be sent. Filters are not perfect. If something was blocked unfairly, rephrase it or contact us.
- Our actions. Depending on the case, we may dismiss a report, send a warning, remove a photo, suspend an account (it is hidden from others and cannot like or send messages) or ban it. If several different people report the same account, it may be flagged for review or suspended automatically until we have looked at it.
- What moderators can see. A reported profile and, for a reported chat, its most recent messages. Moderator actions are logged.
- Appeals. If you believe a decision was wrong, email X101production@icloud.com and tell us what happened. We will review it, but the final decision is ours.
5. Subscriptions: Yummy Gold
- Price and renewal. Yummy Gold is an optional subscription, currently $9.99/month. It renews automatically every month until you cancel.
- Payments. Your subscription is provided by Madison Comics LLC, and payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal (Manage membership in the app). Cancelling stops future renewals. It takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and your access continues until then.
- All payments are final and non-refundable. Madison Comics LLC does not refund payments, including partial or unused periods after you cancel. The only exception is where a refund is required by applicable law.
- Price changes and failed payments. We will give notice before changing the price, and the change applies from your next renewal. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may retry for a few days, and Gold ends if the payment cannot be collected.
6. Safety and meeting in person
You are responsible for your own safety and for your interactions with other members, online and in person. See the safety tips below, and the section “Meeting and connecting with others” at the top of this page.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
- Platform only. Yummy People, operated by Madison Comics LLC, provides a platform for adults to meet. We do not conduct background checks or verify identity, and we do not guarantee that any member is who they say they are or that any profile is accurate.
- Members’ conduct. Madison Comics LLC is not responsible for the actions, statements or behaviour of any member, whether online or offline, or for anything that happens if members choose to connect or meet through the site. You interact with other members at your own risk.
- “As is” service. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. It may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn, and we do not promise that it will be secure, error-free or that you will find a match.
- Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Madison Comics LLC, and its members, managers, employees and affiliates, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss or harm (including personal injury, emotional distress, or loss of money or property) arising from your use of the service or from your dealings with other members. Where liability cannot be excluded, the total liability of Madison Comics LLC is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liability that cannot be limited by law.
- Changes. We may update these Terms. If you keep using the service after an update, you accept the updated Terms.
Privacy Policy
Yummy People is operated by Madison Comics LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”), which is responsible for the personal information described here.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and password (the password is stored hashed by our sign-in provider, never in plain text).
- Profile: the details you add: name, age, city, gender, who you are interested in, bio, interests and photo.
- Activity: likes, passes, matches, messages, blocks and reports.
- Subscription: if you buy Gold, your membership status and Stripe customer ID. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach us.
- Basic usage stats: to count visitors, your browser keeps a random ID and the app records when it was last open and which days it visited. For signed-in members we also record when you were last active. We do not store IP addresses or use third-party analytics, and these numbers are only shown to our admins as totals.
- On your device: your browser’s storage keeps you signed in and remembers small preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who can see it
- Other signed-in members can see your profile (never your email), unless you or they have blocked each other.
- Your messages are visible only to you and the person you matched with. If a chat is reported, our moderators can read its most recent messages to review the report, and each time that happens is logged.
- Your photo is stored at a public web address, so anyone with the link can view it.
Service providers
Your data is hosted by Supabase (US East region). Payments are processed by Stripe. These providers handle data only to run the service for us.
No selling of data
We do not sell your personal data and we do not run ads. We may share information if the law requires it, or where needed to protect someone’s safety.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit your profile at any time. “Delete my account” in Edit profile permanently removes your account, profile, photos, matches and messages. Reports you filed about others may be kept for safety and moderation. For any privacy question, email X101production@icloud.com.
Safety tips
- Adults only. Yummy People is for people 18 and over. Report anyone who seems younger.
- Keep personal details private until you trust someone: home or work address, financial information and passwords.
- Never send money or gift cards to someone you met here, whatever the reason.
- Video chat first, then meet in a busy public place. Tell a friend where you are going and who you are meeting.
- Arrange your own transport and keep your phone charged.
- Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, leave, then use Report or Block on their profile or chat. Reports are reviewed by our team (see Moderation).
- In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
We cannot verify who members are. Profiles are self-reported and photos are not checked. Yummy People is a platform only, and Madison Comics LLC is not responsible for what happens if members choose to connect or meet. See Disclaimers and limitation of liability.
